The embossing unit imparts the pattern to the carpet back and carries out the lamination through a nip-roller system built for high adhesion performance.
The top roller is chrome-plated and moves up and down pneumatically; lamination pressure is set through the pneumatic system. The bottom roller is rubber-covered at 65° ± 5 Shore A. The roller combination is designed to give an even pressure distribution and high lamination quality.
The unit is equipped with automatic carpet tension control integrated into the line automation: tension is monitored continuously through sensors and drives and regulated automatically. That reduces the risk of waviness and creasing, holds lamination quality steady and allows quick changeover between fabric types. Independently quotable.
